Testimonials – Accountability Club
“I am loving these sessions. It’s nice to be facilitated and have Ennis hold the time boundary for us. It feels like a casual, supportive and relaxing group. So far I’ve been happy with what I’ve achieved at the end of each session and more importantly, the creative and relaxed way I’ve achieved it!”
“Every two weeks on a Friday morning I have a date with my laptop. However much the chores and admin are piling up, the two hours of the Accountability Club are set aside for me and my writing. Being with a group of people who are all doing the same thing is a great motivation. I type like mad, review old pieces, play around with writing prompts, or just sit and think. I can feel my mind expanding into the space. No excuses, but no pressure either. Brilliant.”
“Having a shared slot and commitment to write was super helpful in actually making it happen! I’m looking forward to this being part of my weekly routine, to keep the words and stories flowing.”
“Thank you so much for this space – I’ve definitely got far more done than I would’ve left to my own devices! So pleased I made some progress! Thanks Ennis for hosting and everyone there for holding space. Lovely to chat in the small group after the work session too. Recommended!”

Trans Writing Group
Online | Free / £35 Ticket | Full Listing
As trans* writers, we often find our writing narratively limited or misunderstood in traditional writing spaces. We regularly become gender educators rather than equal participants, experience transphobia in environments that are supposed to be trans-inclusive and find our additional accessibility requirements go unmet. It becomes essential to find a space where our work and identity will be seen as it is in order to access the benefits of a writing group.
These themed writing groups provide a dedicated space for you to make progress on your writing and develop personal connections with other writers. In small groups of eight, you will have a chance to discuss the world of writing, share things about your project, and socialise with those with a shared interest.
Testimonials – Trans Writing Group
“This was a warm and lovely group, a rare space in which I was able to socialise with other trans, neurodivergent and chronically ill writers. I gained so much confidence in these weeks. Ennis worked really hard to listen and make adjustments, tailoring the way information was relayed and how workshop time overall was used, including requests and suggestions.”
“This group helped me in my confidence as a writer hugely, as well as making me feel super supported as a queer, trans, and disabled writer. It's rare to find a safe space, that is actually a safe space, held (by Ennis) via active practices of care, gentle motivation & checking in. It was a really special community to be a part of.”
“Ennis was a great host and created SO many wonderful materials for the group. The other participants were such smart and interesting people, I felt really lucky to interact with and be challenged by them. As a visual artist the chance to reflect has helped the quality/deliberateness of my work a lot.”
“Ennis was such a kind, organized, and motivated facilitator. I could tell that the mission to provide a queer- and trans-centered space accessible for people with disabilities and people who are neurodivergent is important to them, and they put in a lot of effort to make this happen. They were very structured, communicated clearly, and were open to feedback. I learned a lot from Ennis and from the group. Thank you!”
“This group has been a huge part of my development as a writer. It has cultivated a safe space in which for me to grow, connect and lay the foundation of a regular writing practice. As well as encourage me to be in community with people of similar and intersecting identities and experiences to my own. I have found it incredibly grounding and inspiring each week to meet with trans (and disabled) writers of all ages and practices and backgrounds to reflect on our positionality and place in the writing world as well as in our own lives. I think the trans writers group is revolutionary in instigating a space for community care, self-development and uplifting the voices of marginalised writers in a real way.”
